The 2013 KHS Flite 500 Delivers Great Comfort at A Fraction of the Price!

The 2013 KHS Flite 500 is an excellent value for money with great handling – a steal!

KHS is always taking this a step beyond what you'd expect, and the 2013 Flite 500 is no exception. Steady, sure and comfortable, the Flite 500 is one of the best road bikes you can buy at this price point.

How did they accomplish this? It's a combination of a well-executed butted aluminum frame, down-tube shaped to stiffen the bottom bracket and carbon fork and chainstays! The long head-tube creates an upright stance for town riding.

Cyclingplus.com says "We're convinced that the 500's carbon chainstays make it a less harsh ride than the all-aluminum bikes tested here"

The Shimano 105 drivetrain does a great job of flipping from gear to gear, and KHS has used the widest gear range offered by Shimano -  an 11-28 cassette mated to a 50/34 chainset — which will cope with everything but the steepest climbs.

The braking mechanism is handled by Tektro dual pivot brakes, which come from pretty high on Tektro's range and provide great stopping power in dry conditions.

The bar, stem, saddle and seatpost are all proprietary KHS items which are definitely good enough for the price. It's an overall great package that delivers great all-day comfort, excellent shifting, good brakes and a nice frame that will help keep you fresh and comfortable over poor roads.
